The Junior School curriculum, while following the broad outline of the National Curriculum, seeks to extend pupils' achievement and interest in subject areas to a level which is intended to prepare them for the Senior School 11+ examination. Junior boys study English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, a language, Classical Studies, Art, Technology, Computing, Music and RS; there is plenty of provision, too, for PE and Games. Latin is studied in Year 6. whilst French is taught throughout; Year 5 and 6 pupils are taught by specialist staff from the Senior School. A current homework schedule for each class is available on request. Parents are encouraged to keep in regular contact with their son's Form Tutor - a characteristic of the school that parents greatly appreciate. Boys receive half-termly assessments in addition to a termly report; there are also regular parents' evenings.
